Frequently asked questions: swapping to Bitcoin BTC (BTC)
The 5 most common questions, answered.
01How long does it take to swap to BTC?
Typically 15–30 minutes. AllSwap's matching is instant; the main wait is your origin-chain confirmation (USDT-TRC ~10 s, ETH ~30 s, SOL ~5 s) plus 1 Bitcoin mainnet confirmation (~13 min). See the table above for origin-chain speeds.
02Which cryptocurrencies can I swap to BTC on AllSwap?
120+ crypto assets across 33 chains — including USDT (TRC20 / ERC20 / BEP20 / Solana), USDC (ERC20 / Base / Solana / Arbitrum), ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP, TON, NEAR, DOGE, TRX, LTC, ADA, SUI and more. See the routes table above.
03What's the minimum and maximum I can swap to BTC?
There is no hard minimum; the floor is set by Bitcoin mainnet settlement cost, around 6 USDT equivalent. The per-swap ceiling depends on live market-maker liquidity — for large orders (≥ 600,000 USDT equivalent), splitting into multiple swaps usually gets you a better rate.
04Do I need KYC or to connect a wallet to swap to BTC?
No. AllSwap is fully non-custodial: no account, no KYC, no wallet connection. Just provide your BTC receiving address — the protocol handles the rest, and funds never touch a centralized intermediary.
05Could my swap to BTC be frozen or require identity verification?
No. AllSwap is a decentralized matching protocol — it doesn't screen transactions, custody funds or collect identity data. The full flow is on-chain verifiable, and any failed swap is auto-refunded to your sending address.
What is Bitcoin BTC (BTC)?
Bitcoin (BTC) is a decentralized digital currency launched in January 2009, based on the 2008 whitepaper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto: Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System. It is the first crypto asset that operates without any central issuer or administrator.
BTC's supply is hard-capped at 21,000,000 by protocol rules. Roughly every four years, a "halving" event cuts the rate at which new coins are issued. The network is secured by Proof-of-Work consensus — miners compete on the SHA-256 algorithm to validate blocks, with a new block produced about every 10 minutes. Every transaction is publicly verifiable, tamper-evident and clears without any intermediary.
BTC functions both as a payment instrument and as "digital gold" — fixed-supply, borderless, censorship-resistant, where the private key alone constitutes full ownership. It holds the largest market cap and the most-secured network in crypto, and is the cornerstone allocation in most crypto portfolios.
