Frequently asked questions: swapping to Tether USDT (USDT)

The 5 most common questions, answered.

01How long does it take to swap into USDT?

Typically 1–5 minutes. AllSwap's matching engine settles instantly; most of the wait comes from source-chain confirmations and credit on the target USDT network. USDT-TRC20 arrives in about 10 seconds (1 Tron confirmation), USDT-ERC20 in 30–60 seconds (2 Ethereum confirmations), USDT-BEP20 around 15 seconds, and USDT-Solana around 5 seconds. See the source-chain timing table above.

02Which cryptocurrencies can be swapped into USDT on AllSwap?

Over 120 assets across 33 public chains can be one-click swapped into USDT, including BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP, TON, NEAR, DOGE, TRX, LTC, ADA, SUI, and USDC (ERC20 / Base / Solana / Arbitrum). USDT can be received on TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, Solana, Arbitrum, Polygon and other major networks — just pick the target network you need.

03What are the minimum and maximum amounts for swapping into USDT?

AllSwap sets no hard minimum; the practical floor is governed by target-chain settlement cost: roughly 1 USDT on TRC20 and around 15 USDT on ERC20 (varies with Ethereum gas). The per-trade ceiling depends on live market-maker liquidity. For large orders we recommend splitting the swap to obtain better rates, especially above 1,000,000 USDT equivalent.

04Do I need KYC or a connected wallet to swap into USDT?

No. AllSwap is fully non-custodial: no account registration, no KYC, no wallet connection. Just provide a USDT receiving address and choose the target chain (TRC20, ERC20, BEP20, Solana, etc.) — the protocol handles the rest, and funds never pass through any centralized intermediary.

05Can a USDT swap be frozen or require identity verification?

AllSwap is a decentralized matching protocol — it does not screen transactions, hold user funds, or collect any identity information. Note that USDT is issued by Tether, which retains the ability to blacklist token-contract addresses in extreme cases (unrelated to AllSwap). Every swap is on-chain verifiable, and if any step fails, funds are automatically refunded to the original sending address.

What is Tether USDT (USDT)?

USDT (Tether) is a US-dollar stablecoin launched in 2014 by Tether Limited and one of the earliest fiat-pegged assets to reach broad on-chain circulation. Its original whitepaper introduced the idea of a blockchain-native digital dollar backed 1:1 by fiat reserves, combining dollar price stability with the programmability of public ledgers.

USDT is a multi-chain stablecoin protocol: the issuer mints tokens against reserves at a target ratio of roughly 1 USDT to 1 USD, and the asset circulates on more than ten major networks including Tron (TRC20), Ethereum (ERC20), BNB Chain (BEP20), Solana, Arbitrum and Polygon. Tether periodically publishes reserve attestation reports covering cash, US Treasuries and other holdings.

USDT is among the deepest-liquidity stablecoins in the crypto market, widely used for trade quoting, cross-border settlement, on-chain payments, market making and hedging. It maintains extensive trading pairs across centralized exchanges and DeFi protocols, and serves as a common medium for moving between fiat and crypto or rotating risk between crypto assets.
