Wrong address or wrong network — what to do
Once an on-chain transfer is confirmed it's irreversible — but depending on the type of mistake, there may still be a chance to recover. Take the steps below right away.
Likely causes
'Wrong address' splits into two types: (1) wrong recipient address on the correct target chain — if you don't own that address, recovery isn't possible; (2) wrong network (sent on the wrong chain) — sometimes recoverable cross-chain with the original private key, but very often permanently lost.
How to fix it
Walk through in order — most cases are resolved at step 1.
- / 01Stop everything else immediately
Don't initiate any further swaps or transfers. Stay calm and avoid resending funds or making the loss worse.
- / 02Identify the type of mistake
Look up the transaction hash on a block explorer to confirm whether it's 'wrong address' or 'wrong network'. If it landed at another address you control, you can simply transfer it back.
- / 03Contact support to assess
Send the transaction hash, original address, and wrong address to @allswapservice. We'll assess case by case whether recovery is still possible — please note that in most cases recovery is not possible.
Still not resolved?
Reach @allswapservice on Telegram with the deposit address for this swap. We'll verify and assist as fast as we can — do not resend funds.
