An AllSwap one-time deposit address is the source-chain payment entry point generated and returned by the underlying settlement network after you create a formal swap order. It links an on-chain deposit to a specific order ID, source network, source asset, amount, and quote conditions. It is not your destination address, your refund address, or a personal AllSwap account for recurring deposits.
How does a one-time deposit address match a payment to an order?
The preview shown on the swap page is only an estimate of how much destination asset you may receive. After you enter the destination-chain recipient address, optionally enter a refund address, and create the order, you receive the formal quote, the order ID (orderId), the one-time deposit address, a payment countdown, and—on networks that require one—a deposit Memo or Tag. This Memo or Tag is additional payment-side identification; it is not a memo for the destination recipient address.
The address returned by the underlying settlement network serves as the order's on-chain payment entry point. The system uses the address and order record to associate a detected deposit with the order ID, source chain, source asset, specified amount, and applicable quote conditions. AllSwap's application layer aggregates quotes and presents the address, countdown, and order status; it does not generate this address. “One-time” is first and foremost an operating rule for the user: use only the address returned for the current order and send the instructed payment only once. Public information does not state that the address can technically receive only one blockchain transaction or that it necessarily becomes unable to receive funds after completion. You should therefore not interpret “one-time” as meaning that the blockchain will automatically reject a second transfer. Even if an old address can still receive assets on-chain, that does not mean the old order, old quote, or automatic settlement remains valid.
How is it different from other addresses?

The sending address in your payment wallet is also separate from the three address types above. It is simply the source of assets for the source-chain transaction. Assets from a successful swap go to the destination recipient address you entered. Whether and how a refund is delivered depends on whether the order included a refund address and on the actual on-chain refund record.
How to use a one-time deposit address correctly
- Preview the swap and enter the addresses first. On the AllSwap swap page, select the source network, source asset, destination network, destination asset, and amount. Review the preview, then enter a valid destination recipient address. If the page allows it, also enter a source-chain refund address that you control.
- Check everything again after creating the formal order. Confirm that the order ID, formal quote, source chain, source asset, exact payment amount, one-time deposit address, and payment countdown all belong together. Never treat a preview amount, an old screenshot, or the address from a previous order as the payment instruction for the current order.
- Make one exact payment as instructed. Before the countdown expires, use a wallet that supports the correct network to send the exact amount of the specified asset. Do not underpay, overpay, split the amount into several transactions, or send a duplicate payment. If the order returns a Memo or Tag, both the address and Memo or Tag must be entered accurately. You can omit it only when the order does not return one; never guess one yourself.
- Save both order and on-chain evidence. Record the order ID, one-time deposit address, source-chain transaction hash (TxID), asset, network, amount, payment time, countdown, and redacted screenshots. Once the transaction has been broadcast, do not pay again merely because the page has not updated yet.
- Track detection, confirmation, and settlement. After the underlying network detects the source-chain transaction, it may still need to wait for the required block confirmations before the swap and destination-chain payout begin. Confirmation requirements can vary by network and settlement conditions. No single public number applies to every order, so rely on the current order status.
A button or page action such as “I have paid” is used to enter or view the status page; it is not the on-chain transfer itself. To establish whether you sent the payment, check the source-chain TxID in the relevant block explorer. Conversely, a successful source-chain transaction proves only that the assets reached the deposit address specified for the order—it does not mean the cross-chain swap is complete. For a successful order, also verify the final destination-chain TxID, destination asset, and actual recipient address. For a refunded order, verify the final refund TxID and the address that actually received it. Together, these records form the complete evidence trail.
What happens if the address expires, is reused, or receives the wrong payment?
The countdown on the payment page is your direct indication of the current payment window. Once it ends, do not keep paying that address; obtain a valid new order. Do not send another payment to an address from an order that is already completed, refunded, or historical. The fact that an address still exists in a block explorer does not prove that it remains monitored for automatic processing or can settle at the original quote.
Any of the following can prevent automatic matching, delay processing, require manual investigation, or even make the funds unrecoverable:
- sending through the wrong network to an address that looks identical;
- sending an asset the order did not specify or using the wrong token contract;
- underpaying, overpaying, splitting the payment, or paying the same address more than once;
- paying after the countdown or reusing an old order address; or
- omitting a required Memo or Tag, entering it incorrectly, or using one from another order.
The outcome of these exceptions depends on the on-chain transaction, order status, and whether the underlying settlement network can identify or recover the deposit. AllSwap cannot promise that every mistaken transfer can be recovered, and it cannot promise a fixed handling time in advance. If the source-chain TxID succeeded but the order was not detected, processing does not start for an unusually long time, the destination asset does not arrive, or you paid on the wrong chain, sent the wrong asset, paid after expiry, or made a duplicate payment, stop sending additional funds. Use an official channel listed in the AllSwap Help Center and provide the order ID, deposit address, source-chain TxID, payment time, asset and network, and redacted screenshots. Support does not need your private key, seed phrase, wallet password, one-time authentication code, or remote-control access. Do not trust anyone who asks for them.
