FAQ

Which countries, regions, age groups, or sanctioned persons cannot use AllSwap?

As of July 22, 2026, AllSwap's terms require a user to be “at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.” They also prohibit use by residents of, or users located in, countries or regions covered by relevant sanctions, and by individuals, entities, or other listed parties covered by relevant sanctions of the United Nations, United States, European Union, United Kingdom, or Hong Kong. Users in locations where applicable law prohibits crypto-asset exchange services are also ineligible. These are contractual eligibility requirements. If your age status, sanctions exposure, or local legal position is uncertain, do not create or pay an order until you have obtained advice from a qualified professional familiar with the applicable law. Website access, an available quote, and a no-KYC flow do not establish eligibility.

How should you assess eligibility to use AllSwap?

Section 4 of the AllSwap Terms of Service is the current written source. The page states that it was last updated and became effective on June 4, 2026. Its age condition is “at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.” In practical terms, you should not interpret a difference between those standards as permission to choose the lower threshold. The cautious approach is to proceed only after you are at least 18 and have confirmed that you have the legal capacity required to use this kind of service where you are located. If you are unsure, obtain local legal advice first.

Use the following checks:

Eligibility issueWhen you cannot use AllSwap or should stopImportant limitation
Age and legal capacityYou do not meet the age requirement in the terms, or cannot confirm that you meet the applicable age-of-majority requirement where you are locatedA wallet owner's ability to sign a transaction does not prove their legal capacity to enter into and perform a transaction
Country or regionYou reside in or are located in a relevant sanctioned country, or a sanctioned region falls within the applicable regime and the restrictions in AllSwap's termsA sanctions regime may target a country, a specific territory, a sector, or a type of activity; one unofficial “banned countries” list cannot capture every rule
Individual or entityYou, a person acting on your behalf, or a relevant entity appears on an applicable sanctions list maintained by one of the authorities named in the termsNames, aliases, addresses, and identity data require careful matching; neither a shared name nor the absence of an exact name match is conclusive
Ownership or controlThe transaction involves an entity owned or controlled by a sanctioned person and the applicable regime extends restrictions to that entityA listed person and an entity owned or controlled by a listed person are distinct tests; the applicable threshold varies by sanctions regime
Local lawApplicable law in your location prohibits crypto-asset exchange, or prohibits the particular user, asset, purpose, or transaction typeAllSwap's terms do not provide an exhaustive country-by-country list; a jurisdiction's absence from the terms does not establish permission

This article does not provide a permanent list of “prohibited countries” because sanctions and local regulation change, and different regimes define their coverage differently. For example, the presence of a country in a thematic or sectoral sanctions program does not necessarily mean that every resident is subject to identical restrictions. Conversely, a person whose name does not appear in a simple search may still be affected because of an alias, ownership, control, or a transaction-specific prohibition. The law, official lists, and current AllSwap terms in effect at the time of the transaction are the relevant sources.

Where should you check sanctions lists?

Check official sources rather than relying on blogs, group-chat screenshots, or outdated databases. Relevant starting points include the United Nations Security Council Consolidated List, the U.S. Treasury OFAC Sanctions List Service, the European Commission's overview of sanctions and related resources, the UK Sanctions List, and the Hong Kong SAR resources on United Nations sanctions.

A list search is only an initial screening step, not legal advice. Similar names, alternate scripts and spellings, former names, corporate ownership structures, the person controlling a wallet, and the purpose of a transaction may all affect the analysis. Lists maintained by different authorities are not interchangeable. If an individual or organization cannot determine whether it, a counterparty, a beneficial owner or controller, or the intended use of funds is restricted, it should consult a qualified legal professional familiar with the relevant jurisdiction and sanctions regime before creating an order or transferring funds.

Mainland China should not be assessed only by asking whether a person appears on a sanctions list. The AllSwap terms separately prohibit use in jurisdictions where local law does not allow crypto-asset exchange services. For the 2026 Chinese regulatory position and practical considerations, consult the companion help article “Can users in mainland China access and use AllSwap?”

Do no-KYC, a VPN, or website access change eligibility?

No. The absence of account registration and a standard KYC-document upload step in AllSwap's ordinary swap flow means only that the regular process does not collect an ID document or selfie. It is not an exemption from age requirements, sanctions, or local law. A VPN, proxy, or Tor may alter a network route, but it does not change a user's identity, residence, physical location, source of funds, or applicable law. These tools must not be used to conceal location, borrow another person's identity, or evade sanctions screening.

Similarly, the technical ability to open allswap.io, select assets, receive a quote, or generate a one-time deposit address is not an eligibility approval. An underlying market-making or settlement network may decline to return a quote, generate a deposit address, or execute an order based on blockchain compliance and risk screening. However, its complete rules, timing, and outcomes are not publicly disclosed. AllSwap does not guarantee that screening will identify every risk or never produce a false positive. Users remain responsible for assessing their own eligibility before relying on product screening.

What should you do if you are ineligible or uncertain?

Follow the step that matches the order's current stage:

  1. Before creating an order: Stop. Check the latest terms, the relevant official lists, and local law. Obtain qualified legal advice where necessary.
  2. After creating an order but before paying: Do not send funds to the one-time deposit address shown on the payment page. An order countdown or a previously returned quote does not create an obligation to pay.
  3. After payment if the order is abnormal: Do not pay an alleged “unfreezing fee” or “verification fee,” and do not give anyone your private key, seed phrase, wallet password, one-time code, or remote access. Keep the order ID, one-time deposit address, source-chain transaction hash, asset, network, amount, payment time, and redacted screenshots. Contact support through the official channels in the AllSwap Help Center.
  4. During an operational review: Support may help investigate the order and its on-chain status, but it cannot determine your local legal eligibility. It also cannot promise that a funded order will be executed, refunded automatically, or recovered in full. The outcome may depend on the order state, the rules of the underlying networks, applicable law, and the evidence that can be verified.

Sanctions lists, country and regional measures, ownership and control rules, local crypto-asset laws, and the AllSwap terms may change.
